Digital Audio Equipment Then And Now Print E-mail
Digital audio equipment has come a long way when it comes to being technologically advanced in the past decade. What was once a tape recorder with the inability to block out background noise, has become a high tech device used for recording music, songs, voices, and basically any sound.

The first introduction of being able to record noise of any kind was with a phonograph, this became a problem, because it was not portable. Then along came the wire and tape records these were a little more portable, but still required a wire plug in order to work.

The next audio equipment introduced was the reel to reel tape recorders and that headed the introduction of the portable tape recorder. The portable tape recorder had some technology that would allow it to begin blocking out some background noise as well as being full portable.

The newest technology has introduced the public to the DAT also known as the digital audio tape. This newest invention for recording sounds is completely portable as well as user friendly. This device makes it easier to cut out noises that are not wanted and even add noises that are wanted.

These digital devices are even used by ghost hunters to try and pick up the sounds of those who were once living and are now deceased. When there is a ghost hunting show on television the supposed ghost hunters will carry a voice recorder with them in hopes of being able to replay this machine and hear a voice that was not heard with just the naked ear.

These machines have also made it easy for people who have always wanted to be able to sing and have a nice voice do so. Even though someone may not have a beautiful singing voice, these devices have made it possible for someone to sing into the microphone and then enhance their voice with the recorder. Technology has come a very long way when it comes to these types of recording gear.
